Week 09, Friday, Day 045

A blood-splattered Lea arrives at the boarding house, escorted by the police. She breaks the tragic news to Mrs. Reyes -- her nephew Ian and been shot and killed.




Everyone is shocked by this news and Mrs. Reyes faints.




Misty is understandably grief-stricken when she learns of her ex-boyfriend's death, and is too stunned to move aside when the police bring Mrs. Reyes into the boarding house.





At Ian's wake, Monching arrives to pay his respects, and an ugly exchange of words between Mrs. Reyes and her former best friend ensues.



During the heated exchange, Monching admits that he did love Ian. Outraged by what she perceives to be Monching's confession, Mrs. Reyes starts to hit him.



Lea finally intervenes and sharply reminds her two guardians that they should at least comport themselves properly while they are at Ian's wake. Mrs. Reyes glares at Monching for another second or two before turning abruptly away to return to the coffin. An awkward silence follows.
