Qpids: Episode 2.3

At the Jest Camp, Mikel starts eating his frogs, while Janus continues to have difficulty lighting a fire.

Meanwhile, the princesses are now back on the beach, and host Luis asks Carla about her two charmings.

Carla: Simpleng tao lang ako eh... gusto ko simple lang, happy na ako, kasi romantic naman ang mga partners ko.

Back at the Jest Camp, Mikel finishes off his frogs, and starts heading back to the beach, leaving his rival Janus behind.

Janus: Mikel, madaya! Kung hindi ako napilayan, nakagawa ako ng apoy.

Luis (voiceover): Prince charming nalang ni Carla ang inaantay!

Mikel (in the van): She's probably expecting Janus.

Mikel finally arrives at the beach, and learns that he must take a kayak out to a buoy floating offshore and claim three flags from the buoy.

After completing the kayak task, he reads the final instructions and learns that as his prize, he gets to kiss the foot of Princess Carla. hehehe!

Meanwhile, back at Jest Camp, Janus continues to have problems lighting a fire due to his injury.

Mikel arrives at the pitstop to find Carla waiting.

Luis (voiceover): Congratulations, Mikel! Ikaw ang waging prince charming ni Carla!

As Mikel gets down on one knee, Carla pretends to kick him, prompting Mikel to say: Huwag ka naman manipa! Finally, he leans forward and kisses her foot.

Carla (during her interview): Happy ako, dahil... yun nga... sabi na nga niya na nanalo nga siya para sakin.

Carla (voiceover as they replay Mikel kissing her foot): So nung pina-kiss, talagang hindi ko pinapahalata ang insecurity ko.

Meanwhile, back at the Jest Camp, Alwyn and Janus are finally eating their frogs.

Alwyn: Wala ba kayong ketchup?
Janus: Isipin mo nalang, ham 'yan! (laughs)
Alwyn: Ayaw pa rin eh! (laughs)

After finishing off their frogs, the two friends head back to the beach, complete the kayak task, then finally arrive at the pitstop.

Her full name is Madeleine Lauren Apacible Humphries.

But she’s originally billed Carla Humphries. Then Loren was added to her name – as in Loren Legarda and Sophia Loren. In time she’ll be known simply as Carla Loren.

Her mother is from Batangas, belonging to the prominent Apacible clan. Her father is French-Italian. When she was 9, she lived in Paris for two years – and to date Carla says she still speaks French.

A member of Star Magic, Carla celebrated her 17th birthday last May 20.

People say that Carla’s a cross between Audrey Hepburn and Jennifer Love Hewitt, but on her own she’s stunningly beautiful – a Eurasian charmer.

Carla’s currently cast in ABS-CBN’s "Qpids," one of the Love Princesses in search of a Prince Charming. She’s being paired with, among others, Mikel Campos and Janus del Prado. But the final decision lies on the network management and ultimately the public who’ll vote via texts.

She’s a fine arts student at UST, but she’s thinking of transferring school (La Salle) and course (ComArts). The schedule at UST is too long. But she’ll continue painting, with oil as medium.

A commercial endorser, Carla just came back from Thailand where she shot a shampoo ad.
