Carla in BWN - Episode 13.2

Rita finds Barbara packing up her bags, determined to leave the Arguelles home. Barbara insists that Rita leave as well.

When Rita tries to talk Barbara out of leaving, Barbara says she and Lavinia will no doubt end up kill each other if she doesn't leave the house.



Lavinia comes home to find Barbara and Rita coming down the stairs with their bags packed. Barbara tells her the house isn't big enough for the two of them anymore.

Barbara and Rita move into a new condo. Barbara is pleased with how easily they have found a new place to stay.



Rita asks Barbara what her plans are now. Barbara reveals that she intends to discover and develop a new talent, which she will pit against Lavinia to end Lavinia's career.

Carla in BWN - Episode 12.5

Rita opens the door to let Lavinia in.

As they enter the dark living room, Barbara switches on the lights and mocks Lavinia for losing the Artist of the Year award to Dorina.

Carla in BWN - Episode 12.4

Lavinia hands checks to Rita at the dining table, saying that the money is for paying bills and for grocery shopping. She asks Rita to give the money to Barbara.



Rita hesitantly informs Lavinia that Barbara has not left her room since the night before, and suggests to Lavinia that she go talk to Barbara. Lavinia considers the idea for a moment, but finally says Barbara will come out on her own in due time, when she's hungry.

Lavinia is dressed beautifully in an evening gown waiting in the living room. She calls for Rita, saying that Larry has arrived.



Rita comes out and the two sisters smile in anticipation of the evening ahead. When Lavinia asks if Barbara is ready, Rita tells her that Barbara will not be joining them.



Lavinia takes the news in stride and they leave for the awards night.

At the awards venue, Lavinia is shown to her table, but she says it's too far from the stage. She walks ahead to one of the tables in front until she sees a table reserved for Dorina Pineda.



She takes the reserved sign off the table and tells the usher that she wants to sit at this table. The usher is unable to stop her.

Lavinia and her entourage arrive at the venue of her victory party and the ballroom is empty.

In a fit of rage, Lavinia tears down banners, knocks down food trays, and topples floral arrangements. Rita can only cry as she watches her sister destroy the buffet table.



Lavinia finally starts crying and falls to her knees. Rita and Larry rush to comfort her.




As Larry hugs a weeping Lavinia, Libby and Rita finally leave the ballroom.

Carla in BWN - Episode 12.3

Barbara learns from Rita that Lavinia has already left for her guesting -- without Barbara.

A distraught Barbara realizes that she has created her own worst enemy in Lavinia. Rita tries to comfort her.

Rita asks Lavinia what she has done to upset Barbara so badly. Lavinia says she has only put Barbara in her place. Rita reminds Lavinia that Barbara is still their mother, no matter what she has done.



Lavinia replies by reminding Rita just who is earning the money in this household.

Jack and Rita are finally seeing each other again, now that Rita is allowed to go back to school. She tells him that tensions at home are so bad now that she'd rather not go home sometimes.



He encourages her not to give up, especially since she's the only one who can act as a bridge between Lavinia and Barbara.

"They're my BFFs" "Best friends forever" -- that's what Carla calls them. According to Pauleen, "We've been friends even bago pa kami nag-artista, nagwo-workshop pa lang kami. Magka-jive na talaga kami." What binds them close together? "We both have similar ugalis. Kasing kalog ko siya." she reveals.

Through Thick and Thin. Their friendship is definitely rock solid. "We've been friends for four years and I want to keep her forever. We cry in each other's arms. Wala siyang secret na hindi ko alam. She is my only best friend in show biz," confides Pauleen.

Eating Partner. Pauleen, according to Carla, is very outgoing and strong-willed, pigs out on their favorite chocolates, kropek, and chicharon during sleepovers.

Super Supportive. Even though they work for different networks, their bond transcends competing with each other. "I'm very proud of every little or big accomplishment she's done. It's always been her dream to be in a teleserye, so when she got into Bituing Walang Ningning, sobra kaming happy. Talon kami nang talon. Parang New Year. If she missed watching a TV guesting of mine, ipapa-record niya, or I'd bring a tape to her house and we'd watch it. We'd be our own ciritics." Pauleen adds.

True Test of Friendship. Though Carla doesn't see her friends as much as she wants, she knows that they will always be there for her. "A true friend never changes. Even if you don't see each other for the longest time, when you do it's like you've never been apart." Pauleen also adds, "We always keep in touch. Kung gaano kami ka-close noon, ganun pa rin ngayon."
