Carla to be a Muse at Star Olympics 2005

Star Olympics 2005 kicks off today

Over 200 stars are expected to attend as the 2005 Star Olympics kicks off today at the Elephant World at the Araneta Center in Cubao, QC. The affair will be hosted by TJ Manotoc, Jean Garcia and Phoemela Barranda, with Katarina Perez, JC De Veyra, Gabriel Valenciano and Nikki Gil as segment hosts.

The 2005 Star Olympcis starts with a production number by Anime, SOP Boys and the Sexbombs. Rachel Lobangco will do a firedance. This will be followed by a dance competition.The track events follows next with competitions in men's 100-M dash, Women's 50-M dash and 4 X 50 mixed relay.

Of course, there would be the traditional parade of participating teams after which a motorcade follows around the Araneta Center complex.

A celebrity challenge then happens at the Fiesta Carnival later in the afternoon. The team managers for this year's edition of Star Olympics are Sen. Bong Revilla, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, Rudy Fernandez, Phillip Salvador, Lea Salonga, Anjo Yllana and Jestoni Alarcon.

The muses are Francine Prieto, Anne Curtis, Melissa Ricks, Erich Gonzales, Phoemela Barranda, Lovie Poe and Carla Humphries Loren.

Lea Salonga will lead the singing of the national anthem while singer Jon Joven will lead the invocation. Teen actor Richard Gutierrez will run the torch while world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao will do the lighting of the torch.

The competition in badminton, women's volleyball and men's basketball will happen on October 15 at the Araneta Coliseum.
