PROMISING YOUNG ACTRESS MAJA Salvador had three coming-out parties -- on the ABS-CBN TV shows “ASAP ’06” and “Home Boy” and at an intimate gathering of family and friends held at the Gazebo Royale in Quezon City.

The debutante could’ve danced all night on Oct. 5 at the Gazebo -- and she made certain of that, in fact, by having three outfits on standby.

Maja wanted to veer away from a conventional debut.

“Instead of a formal cotillion, I wanted a party that was casual and fun. Instead of 18 roses and candles, I had 18 bracelets and treasures. Instead of cake, I had cupcakes,” she recounted.

Her fellow ABS-CBN stars John Lloyd Cruz, Denise Laurel, Carla Humphries and Kaye Abad were on hand to celebrate the milestone. But Maja’s most special guest that evening, apart from parents Ross Rival and Thelma Andres, is rumored boyfriend and “First Day High” co-star Jason Abalos.

“She wasn’t keen on throwing a party. But she realized that it only comes once in a lifetime. She felt special because it was her first big party,” manager Chit Ramos said.
