Young actress and model Carla Humphries said that she is now ready for a new relationship after her break-up with actor Janus del Prado.

"I'm just happy and I'm ready to embark on a new jouney. Why not. (ready na ako) mas nag-mature na ako ngayon at mas naging confident na ako at ngayon alam ko na kung sino ako at ano ang gusto ko sa buhay," Humphries added.

In an interview, Humphries also confirmed that she's now exclusively dating Coverboys' member John James Uy.

"Yes I'm dating a showbiz guy; his initials are J-J-U," Humphries said.

John James Uy is a ramp and print model who became the grand finalist of "Be Bench", a model search sponsored by fashion brand Bench.

During the last quarter of 2007, rumors spread that Uy was courting sexy-actress Ara Mina. The model search winner denied the rumors, however, in one press conference.

Carla's Mr. Right

Humphries said that for her, Mr. Right, should have certain qualities that would win her heart.

"Mas gusto ko yung responsable, respectful, malapit sa family someone who would want to know my family first," Humphries said.

The actress said that for her, good looks don't really matter, as long as the guy is someone who could be a good influence on her and would be a source of inspiration.

Carla Humphries has a Filipina mother and an Italian-American father. She speaks English, French and Filipino.

Humphries is best known for her roles as Rita Arguelles in ABS-CBN's television series "Bituing Walang Ningning" and as Brenda Smith in "Abt Ur Luv."

Humphries started her career at the age of 11 when she was discovered 1999 by Johnny "Mr. M" Manahan, the head Star Magic. She was launched as a member of Star Circle Batch 11 in May 2003.

She appeared on various shows on the ABS-CBN network. Her first guest role was in late 2003, when she was cast as a fashion model named "Paris" in the youth-oriented TV show "Berks."

She then joined "Qpids" and, in 2004, Humphries appeared in a supporting role in her first movie, "My First Romance" with Heart Evangelista.

Recently she appeared in an episode of "Your Song". She celebrated her birthday last May 20.

She dreams of having her own show and her own movie one day, as well as to become a sought-after product endorser and, of course, impove her acting skills.

At 20, Humphries is busy with her afternoon television series "Ligaw na Bulaklak" with Roxanne Guinoo.
