LnB: Complications

Week 05, Thursday, Day 024

Misty is getting a bite to eat when Precious joins her to chat about Ian. Misty admits that she still loves him, then changes the subject and asks Precious how things are with Michael.



Precious admits that things are going well, and says Michael's good looks remind her of a movie star. Misty says Michael looks better than just any movie star, and Precious agrees as she stares dreamily into space.




Misty then bursts the bubble when she says she thinks Fatima has feelings for Michael also. Stunned by this news, Precious says that can't be true since Fatima was the one who brought them together. When Precious asks Misty if she's trying to create trouble, Misty says she's just sharing her observation.




Upset, Precious gets up and says angrily that if that was supposed to be a joke, it wasn't funny. She walks off, still angry.




Later that evening, Michael asks Precious how things stand between them. Precious plays it coy and says they've only known each other for a short time and it's too soon to tell. Michael tries to ask her again but is interrupted by the arrival of his mother and brother, Chris.




Michael's mother pleads with him to come home, while Chris looks on with disapproval.



Michael introduces Precious to his family, and they politely go through the motions of shaking her hand, but it's clear they'd rather be elsewhere.




Michael's mother continues to insist that he leave with them now. Sensing trouble, Precious smiles brightly and urges him to go with his family. She becomes pensive as soon as the others turn to head to the car.




Fatima comes out just then and stands behind Precious as she watches them leave.




The next day, Lea rushes into the boarding house just as everyone is there getting instructions from Mrs. Reyes. Lea immediately bursts into tears as soon as she hugs her guardian. Nonplussed, Mrs. Reyes orders everyone out of the boarding house so she and Lea can talk.
